The team is very familiar with the requirements of classification societies such as Lloyds/ABS/ DNV and we use welders that are ticketed by them. Welding is carried out using the latest MIG sets, keeping plate distortion to an absolute minimum.

The chandlery providing for all yachtsmen and commercial vessels within the Caribbean island chain, is always fully stocked. If you are finding it difficult to find a boatyard to haul a multi hull in the Caribbean area, try our upgraded slip which can accommodate all trimarans and cats for hauling and antifouling up to 35ft wide. We can also store any multihull boat, up to 45 ft in length if you wished to leave it in the Caribbean for the hurricane season. Multihull sail boats with wide beams can dry dock on our railway system for anti foul painting purposes. We have even hauled a catamaran with a beam of 37ft, but this entailed taking the arms off the slipway cradle.

Our painters here are experienced boat paint experts in aluminum boat paint finishes. We all know the problems with painting aluminum yachts but if the stages of application are carried out correctly we can guarantee good adhesion on all aluminum boats and private yachts. Fiberglass boat paint is our stock in trade and generally carry out around 20- 30 Awlgrip spray jobs every year on yachts and boats between 25ft to150 ft. Custom boat paint is what our team of painters here at Antigua Slipway specialize in. We can paint and fair any yacht on a given fixed price and in an agreed time schedule. This is definitely the yard to carry out any major paint refit on any size cruising yacht or luxury private boat. Boat bottom paint is also sold in the Slipway chandlery and applied here by our yard workers. Our engineering team has a wealth of experience, and are able to complete all types of marine engineering installations from shaft alignment to fitting new marine engines. Pipe manufacture and installation is fabricated and installed in various types of materials (plastic, galvanized steel, stainless steel) depending on customer specification and class requirements. The Antigua Slipway fabrication team is housed in a workshop fitted with numerous lathes, milling machines, pillar drills, welding machines etc. In any refit of a luxury yacht ,design & inspection work on all marine engines is a major part of the job. System designs include propellers, rudders, stabilizers, air conditioning and ventilation installations, refrigeration, hydraulics.

We also specialize in the installation of masts, hatches and deck equipment. This caribbean shipyard’s most recent investment has been to upgrade our slipping facilities from 150 to 200 tons. With a view to being able to expand our storage facility for the hurricane season, a new concreted area outside the main gates with hurricane tie downs, is due to be in place by 2006 hurricane season. Alarms & monitoring systems, navigation aids, communication systems, entertainment systems, can be upgraded or installed at Antigua slipway.

We are able to advise, design and install all types of modern electrical and electronic systems and equipment. The latest integrated navigation packages and entertainment systems can also all be installed and commissioned by our own in-house specialist contractors. Our talented wood work contractors are able to produce high quality interior and exterior woodwork. Interior design and machining of furniture .Teak deck re - fitting & replacement and custom boat paint jobs are our business.
